Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is not only about solving problems or improving communication. Often, underneath conflict, distance, or recurring arguments, there is a longing to feel emotionally safe, understood, valued, and connected. Whether you are looking to strengthen your relationship, navigate a difficult period, or find a compassionate way forward, this is a space for both of you.
In our work together, I help couples better understand the emotional patterns and protective strategies that shape their relationship. Together, we explore how past experiences, attachment wounds, fears, and unmet needs may influence the way you relate to one another today.
The work is focused on helping you communicate more openly and intentionally, deepen mutual understanding, and create a relationship where both partners feel seen, heard, respected, and safe enough to be vulnerable.
Our work may include:
-
Understanding recurring patterns of conflict, withdrawal, or misunderstanding
-
Strengthening emotional connection, trust, and intimacy
-
Learning to express feelings, needs, and boundaries with greater clarity
-
Exploring attachment styles and how they shape the relationship
-
Navigating life transitions, parenting challenges, or major decisions
-
Rebuilding trust after hurt, betrayal, or loss of connection
-
Developing healthier ways to manage conflict and repair ruptures
-
Finding clarity about the future of the relationship
My approach integrates ideas from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT), tailored to the unique dynamics, goals, and needs of each couple.
Separation, Divorce & Mediation Support
Not all couples who come to therapy are looking to stay together. Sometimes the most loving and courageous decision a couple can make is to separate and to do so with honesty, dignity, and mutual respect.
I offer support for couples who have decided to part ways and want to navigate the process as constructively as possible. This is not legal mediation, but therapeutic support that helps both partners communicate more clearly, manage the emotional weight of the transition, and make decisions that reflect their values and the wellbeing of everyone involved.
This can be particularly valuable when there are children involved, shared responsibilities to untangle, or when the separation feels painful and complicated.
Session Fees
I offer a sliding scale fee structure, because I believe that access to good therapy should not depend solely on financial circumstances.
Supporter Rate — €140
For those who are financially comfortable and wish to support the sustainability of the practice. By choosing this rate, you help make it possible for others to access therapy at a reduced cost. I am grateful to clients who are able to contribute in this way.
Standard Rate — €120
The full cost of a session, reflecting the time, training, and preparation involved in therapeutic work. This is the rate for those who can meet it without significant financial strain.
Reduced Rate — €100
Available for those experiencing genuine financial hardship — including students, those on a low income, or those going through a difficult period. Please feel free to mention this when we speak; there is no need to explain or justify your circumstances in detail.
All sessions are 60 minutes. A free initial consultation of approximately 20 minutes is available to help us decide whether we are a good fit before committing to ongoing work together.
If you are unsure which rate applies to you, or if none of these feels accessible, please do get in touch. I am always happy to have an open conversation.
