Parenting Support & Therapy for Young People

Parenting is one of the most important and demanding roles a person can take on and yet it is one where we rarely receive enough support. Parenting support offers a space to reflect on your relationship with your child, understand their behaviour and emotional needs more deeply, and develop approaches that feel more confident, consistent, and connected.

Parenting can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be challenging, exhausting, and at times overwhelming. When children are struggling emotionally, behaviourally, socially, or developmentally, it is often parents who carry the worry, responsibility, and uncertainty.

This is a space for parents to pause, reflect, and feel supported. Together, we explore your child's needs, make sense of behaviours and emotions, strengthen connection, and find practical ways to navigate challenges while also caring for your own wellbeing.

Whether you are parenting a child with additional needs, navigating anxiety, behavioural difficulties, family transitions, or simply looking for support and guidance, our work can help you better understand both your child and yourself.

Our work may include:

  • Understanding your child's behaviour through the lens of emotions and needs

  • Strengthening connection, communication, and co-regulation

  • Responding to challenging behaviours with greater confidence and clarity

  • Navigating anxiety, emotional sensitivity, ADHD, autism, or other developmental differences

  • Managing parental stress, guilt, frustration, or feelings of overwhelm

  • Building self-compassion and resilience as a parent

  • Strengthening co-parenting relationships and family communication

  • Creating calmer, more connected family relationships

My approach is informed by attachment theory, emotional intelligence, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-based parenting approaches, while recognising that every child and family is unique.

This is a space to slow down, reflect on what your child may be communicating beneath their behaviour, and develop a way forward with greater understanding, confidence, and connection.

A free 20-minute initial consultation is available before committing to ongoing work. For young people's therapy, this initial call is usually with the parent or guardian first.

Every parent is doing their best, and every young person deserves to be met where they are. If you would like to find out more or explore whether this could help, I would be glad to hear from you.

In addition to individual and parenting support sessions, I also offer workshops and webinars on themes including parenting, emotional regulation, and communication. These are open to parents, professionals, and anyone interested in understanding themselves and their relationships more deeply. Visit the Events & Groups page to see what is coming up.

Sessions available in English and Russian, in person in The Hague and online worldwide.
