My Services
A safe space to explore, heal, and grow
This is a space where all parts of you are welcome, your fears, hopes, questions, strengths, and pain.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, life transitions, or simply a sense that something is not quite right, therapy can provide an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself.
My practice is trauma-informed, and I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with warmth, curiosity, and care. Together, we will explore the thoughts, emotions, experiences, and patterns that may be shaping your life and relationships.
Together, we will work at your pace to better understand what you are feeling, respond to yourself with more kindness, reconnect with your inner strength, and build resilience, insight, and a deeper sense of self.
Our work may include:
-
Breaking free from patterns that no longer serve you
-
Reconnecting with your feelings, needs, and values
-
Strengthening communication and relationships
-
Building emotional resilience, self-trust, and confidence
-
Processing difficult experiences and healing emotional wounds
This is a space to be curious, reflective, and courageous, at your pace, in your own way.
Sessions are available online via Zoom, in person at my practice in The Hague, or as walk-and-talk sessions in the park next to my practice.
Walk-and-talk therapy offers a gentle alternative to sitting face-to-face indoors. Walking side by side in nature can help you feel more at ease, support nervous system regulation, and create space for reflection and conversation.
Many people find it easier to open up while walking, particularly when experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or feeling stuck. The natural rhythm of movement can help access thoughts and emotions more freely, release tension, and foster a deeper connection with yourself.
Together, we can choose the setting that feels most comfortable and supportive for you.
Parenting can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be challenging, exhausting, and at times overwhelming. When children are struggling emotionally, behaviourally, socially, or developmentally, it is often parents who carry the worry, responsibility, and uncertainty.
This is a space for parents to pause, reflect, and feel supported. Together, we explore your child's needs, make sense of behaviours and emotions, strengthen connection, and find practical ways to navigate challenges while also caring for your own wellbeing.
Whether you are parenting a child with additional needs, navigating anxiety, behavioural difficulties, family transitions, or simply looking for support and guidance, our work can help you better understand both your child and yourself.
Our work may include:
-
Understanding your child's behaviour through the lens of emotions and needs
-
Strengthening connection, communication, and co-regulation
-
Responding to challenging behaviours with greater confidence and clarity
-
Navigating anxiety, emotional sensitivity, ADHD, autism, or other developmental differences
-
Managing parental stress, guilt, frustration, or feelings of overwhelm
-
Building self-compassion and resilience as a parent
-
Strengthening co-parenting relationships and family communication
-
Creating calmer, more connected family relationships
My approach is informed by attachment theory, emotional intelligence, trauma-informed practice, and evidence-based parenting approaches, while recognising that every child and family is unique.
This is a space to slow down, reflect on what your child may be communicating beneath their behaviour, and develop a way forward with greater understanding, confidence, and connection.
Couples therapy is not only about solving problems or improving communication. Often, underneath conflict, distance, or recurring arguments, there is a longing to feel emotionally safe, understood, valued, and connected.
In our work together, I help couples better understand the emotional patterns and protective strategies that shape their relationship. Together, we explore how past experiences, attachment wounds, fears, and unmet needs may influence the way you relate to one another today.
The work is focused on helping you communicate more openly and intentionally, deepen understanding, and create a relationship where both partners can feel seen, heard, respected, and safe enough to be vulnerable. For some couples, this may lead to greater connection and intimacy. For others, it may provide clarity about the future of the relationship and support in navigating difficult decisions with honesty, compassion, and respect.
Our work may include:
-
Understanding recurring patterns of conflict, withdrawal, or misunderstanding
-
Strengthening emotional connection, trust, and intimacy
-
Learning to express feelings, needs, and boundaries with greater clarity and understanding
-
Exploring attachment styles and how they influence the relationship
-
Navigating life transitions, parenting challenges, or major decisions
-
Rebuilding trust after hurt, betrayal, or loss of connection
-
Developing healthier ways to manage conflict and repair ruptures
-
Finding clarity about the future of the relationship
My approach integrates ideas from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT), while tailoring the process to the unique dynamics, goals, and needs of each couple.
This is a space to slow down, understand what is happening between you, and move forward with greater awareness, connection, and intention.
Sometimes one of the most healing experiences is discovering that you are not alone.
Group counselling offers a supportive space where people can come together to share experiences, learn from one another, and find connection through common challenges. Hearing others' stories can offer new perspectives, reduce feelings of isolation, and create opportunities for reflection, growth, and mutual support.
Groups may focus on themes such as anxiety, parenting, relationships, identity, emotional wellbeing, grief, or life transitions. Each group is facilitated with care, structure, and sensitivity to create an environment where participants feel safe, respected, and heard.
Groups may offer opportunities to:
-
Connect with others who may be facing similar challenges
-
Share experiences in a supportive and non-judgemental environment
-
Gain new perspectives and insights
-
Develop greater self-awareness and emotional understanding
-
Learn practical tools and coping strategies
-
Build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging
Groups are offered when there is sufficient interest. If you would like to join a future group, please contact me to register your interest. You are welcome to let me know which topics are most relevant to you, and I will keep you informed about upcoming groups.
Groups may be offered online via Zoom or in person at my practice in The Hague, depending on the topic and level of interest.
Living with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) can be unsettling, especially when episodes happen without warning. Alongside the physical symptoms, many people experience anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, worrying about when the next episode might occur, what it means, or how it may affect daily life.
You are not alone.
As someone who lives with SVT myself, I understand how overwhelming and isolating it can sometimes feel. This is a space where you can talk openly about your experiences, fears, and frustrations with someone who understands both personally and professionally.
Together, we will explore the emotional impact of living with a heart rhythm condition, better understand the relationship between anxiety and physical symptoms, and find ways to feel more grounded, confident, and in control.
Our work may include:
-
Making sense of your experience with SVT and how it affects your life
-
Understanding the relationship between anxiety, stress, and physical symptoms
-
Learning practical strategies to manage fear, worry, and uncertainty
-
Building confidence in your ability to cope with episodes when they occur
-
Reducing health-related anxiety and hypervigilance
-
Reconnecting with a sense of safety, trust, and self-compassion
-
Living more fully without fear taking over your life
My approach combines psychological support, practical coping strategies, and a compassionate understanding of the challenges that can come with living with SVT.
This is a space to feel heard, understood, and supported as you learn to navigate uncertainty with greater confidence and resilience.
Supporting a loved one through a stem cell transplant can be overwhelming, exhausting, and life-changing. Alongside the practical responsibilities of caregiving, many partners find themselves carrying fear, uncertainty, grief, and emotional strain, often while putting their own needs aside.
You do not have to carry it alone.
I understand these challenges both personally and professionally. My husband underwent a stem cell transplant, and my Master's research explored the lived experiences of partners supporting loved ones through this journey. This combination of personal insight and academic understanding allows me to offer support that is both compassionate and informed.
This is a space where you can talk openly about your experiences, fears, frustrations, and hopes. Together, we can make sense of what you are going through, explore the impact caregiving has had on your wellbeing, and find ways to care for yourself while continuing to support someone you love.
Our work may include:
-
Processing fear, uncertainty, grief, and difficult emotions
-
Navigating the challenges of caregiving and changing family roles
-
Managing stress, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion
-
Strengthening resilience and self-compassion
-
Reconnecting with your own needs, identity, and wellbeing
-
Finding balance between caring for your loved one and caring for yourself
-
Adjusting to life during and after treatment
This is a space to feel heard, understood, and supported as you navigate one of life's most challenging experiences.
Sessions are available online via Zoom, in person at my practice in The Hague, or as walk-and-talk sessions in the park next to my practice.
